About Us

Renee Aguiar-Lucander, a director since 2006, is a Partner in the venture capital group of 3i Group Plc, a leading private equity and venture capital firm with about $10bn of assets under management. Mrs Aguiar-Lucander has been a Partner at 3i venture since 2005, where she is responsible for managing the quoted assets and overseeing the European divestment process. In addition, Mrs Aguiar-Lucander is a senior member of the European portfolio management team with a focus on healthcare assets and is on the Board of Idea AG. Prior to joining 3i, Mrs Aguiar-Lucander was a Managing Director in Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers, with a focus on Media, Internet & Communications. Mrs Aguiar-Lucander has over 12 years of corporate finance experience with firms such as BT Alex Brown, Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers, where she focused on M&A and private / public capital raising for growth companies in both Europe and the US. Prior to Investment Banking, she worked for 5 years in European sales & marketing for a financial services focused software business. Mrs Aguiar-Lucander has a BA in finance from Stockholm School of Economics and an MBA from Insead.
