Carlos de Sousa
- Chief Business Officer
Dr. de Sousa, a senior pharmaceutical executive with 19 years experience in the industry, largely at Pfizer Inc. and Novartis AG, was most recently Senior Vice President and Global Head of Business Development and Licensing at Schwarz Pharma AG. Prior to joining Schwarz Pharma in 2006, Dr. de Sousa was Global Head of Negotiations, Neurosciences, at Novartis AG (Basel, Switzerland), where he served for five years in various executive roles within Business Development and in Marketing. Previously, during his twelve years with Pfizer Inc. (Lisbon, Portugal and New York, USA), Dr. de Sousa held positions in Clinical Development, Business Development and Licensing, and Regional Operations Management. Dr. de Sousa earned his M.D. from Lisbon Medical School, and his M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business, New York University.
