Job title: Scientist

Details / Job description:

We are seeking scientists for three positions in our Laboratory of Pharmacology, with expertise respectively in:

-  pain physiology and pharmacology for the setting up of models of neuropathic and  inflammatory pain. Knowledge  on ion channel pharmacology is desirable;

-  behavioral pharmacology, for development of animal models, and their pharmacological characterization, in the area psychiatric disorders with specific interest in cognition,  bipolar disorders, depression;

-  neurobiology and  neurodegenerative diseases, in particular Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease, for the development of rodent models of neurodegeneration and diskynesia. Knowledge on neuroanatomy and histology techniques is required.

Expertise/Know-how:
The candidates should have at least 5 years, post PhD, of experience in their specific area of  research, with an established publication record in scientifically distinguished journals. Excellent knowledge of English language is required. An experience in an industrial drug discovery environment is a plus.

Behavioural skills:
In addition the candidates should have proactive spirit and problem solving attitude, and strong communication skill with the ability to work in multidisciplinary project team.
