Prof. Olanow obtained his M.D degree from the University of Toronto and completed a Residency in Neurology and a Fellowship in Neuroanatomy at Columbia University in New York.
After holding teaching appointments at the McGill, Duke and Tampa Universities he became Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
Dr Olanow’s research and clinical interest have centered on the pathophysiology and treatment of movement disorders, Parkinson’s disease in particular. He is recognized worldwide as an opinion leader in the field and called upon as a consultant by all major players in the Academic, Health Care and Industrial fields.
