
Founder of the Liberman Parkinson Clinic in Miami, Florida
Dr Lieberman obtained his MD degree from NYU School of Medicine where he also completed his Neurology residency and held teaching appointments. All medical and scientific career of Dr Lieberman was dedicated to the treatment of movement disorders, Parkinson Disease in particular. In this field he spearheaded several therapeutic breakthrough particularly the use of levodopa/carbidopa combination, the use of dopamine agonists both of the ergoline derivative types and the newer ones.
He was among the first authors to report on development of dementia in Parkinson. His activity has resulted in the publication of over 200 peer reviewed reports, several of them in the most prestigious scientific journals.
From 1995 to 2005 he has been Medical Director of the National Parkinson’s Foundation in the US. He recently founded the Liberman Parkinson Clinic in Miami, FL, a health care delivery center fully devoted to PD.
